Everything’s Easy by Girlyman. I’ve been loving harmony driven alt-folk this year and Girlyman is my favorite by far. Melt-in-your ear vocals, emotionally mature lyrics, inventive three part harmony and infectious tunes make this a must listen for fans of the genre.

The List by Rosanne Cash. After a three year forced hiatus from recording due to vocal polyps and brain surgery for a rare benign brain condition, Rosanne Cash has returned with a luminous release. The list referred to in the title consists of 100 essential American songs her father (Johnny Cash) gave Rosanne when she was 18. This release includes 12 of them, including duets with Bruce Springsteen, Elvis Costello and Jeff Tweedy.

Somedays The Song Writes You by Guy Clark. Approaching his seventieth year, Guy Clark is an inspiration for those of of us hoping that our creative muse will not abandon us as we move towards the sunset. A work of masterful storytelling and deep, authentic emotion.
