Avatarize Your Real Life Self With Evolver
After seeing the Avatar 3D film twice already, I decided it was time to translate my real life image into a transportable avatar. I used a service called Evolver, that has tool to create avatars that can be “transported” to a wide range of platforms, including virtual worlds, 3D application and social networks.

White Plastic Wedding. I used a test of Hollywood FX Video Maker on my iPhone as an excuse to play with a few of my favorite plastic characters and make this little video. The program offers some fun effects, but did not sync audio correctly at high resolution so I ended up rendering with the 480x360 setting. Flying Bodhisattva. My iPhone imakes the world a pervasive playground. I shot and edited this while sitting at our dining room table, waiting for my son to finish up a video interview he was doing for a ComArts project, using ReelDirector, Vintage Video Maker and Slowmo. The piano was a last minute addition, recorded live over the video in ReelDirector.
